The Smash ItTM Manual Compactor is constructed of rugged steel. The unit operates by pumping the
handle which lowers the compaction plate that in turn compresses the material. Once this is completed,
the compaction plate may be returned to its original location via the spring loaded retractor. The compaction
plate is made of non-sparking fiberglass and resin. This combination provides a part that is stronger than
steel andalso lighter. The compaction force of this product is between 1500 and 2000 pounds or between

Clutter is eliminated because of the combination of many bags into one. The average compaction ratio is
4 to 1. Actual ratios will vary depending upon the material compacted.

This compactor is available in two different sizes; one for 55 gallon drums and one for 30 gallon drums. The
operation of the two models is the same; the only difference is the dimensions to accommodate various
container sizes.
