The Smash It TM Pneumatic-Powered Compactors are constructed from top quality heavy duty components.
These units are extremely easy to use. Once they are connected to an air source, the drum that is to be
compacted into must be centered under the ram plate and then press the palm buttons. Most customer
pay for the cost of the compactor out of disposal savings within one year. Due to the low cost of these
compactors, customers have found it advantageous to place a compactor at each waste generation point.

The force exerted at 120 psi is 3,400 pounds or 1,544 kg for the A55-1001-6PB that is equipped with a
6" cylinder with a 27" stroke. The A55-1001-8PB is equipped with an 8" cylinder and can deliver up to
6,000 pounds or 2,724 kg of compaction force at 120 psi.

These compactors were designed with safety in mind. The actuator is a two-hand, no tie-down safety circuit
that provides output only when both palms are pressed within two tenths of a second. If the buttons are
released, the compaction plate is automatically retracted. The purpose of this control mechanism is to meet
O.S.H.A. requirements for certain specific customer safety applications.

There are numerous uses for these units. Hazardous and wet waste materials are ideal applications as
well as semi-solid matter. Customershave realized major cost savings by compacting into 55 gallon drums.
Not only does this insure compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency, waste disposal expense
are reduced dramatically.
